There are many varied clubs and organisations within the City of Wells.

Anything from Ballet Classes or Music with Mummy for the little ones, The Wells Little Theatre and the Carnival Club for those with a love for the theatre, right up to the Womens Institute and the Classic & Historic Motor Club for the older generation.

Every Wednesday and Saturday throughout the year a street market is held in Wells Market Place, with the exception of the first Saturday in May, when the Charter Fair is held instead.
