Rare Plant Fair at The Bishop’s Palace
11th March 2018 10am-4pm
On Sunday 11th March, head along to The Bishop’s Palace & Gardens in Wells to browse over 20 stalls of rare and unusual plants from a selection of top nurseries from all over the South West.
Last year’s Plant Fairs were extremely popular, with over 1,000 visitors enjoying the horticultural bargains and soaking up the atmosphere.
Now in their 24th season, Rare Plant Fairs, run by Teresa and Ian Moss, offer enthusiasts the opportunity to buy interesting and unusual plants from a range of nurseries.
The admission fee for the Fair offers a reduction on the normal entry price for the Palace & Gardens and includes full access to the Plant Fair and the rest of the 14 acre site.
The team at Rare Plant Fair carefully selects the nurseries to ensure that they are genuine growers who produce most or all of the plants that they sell themselves. The nurseries that exhibit are chosen to offer the widest possible range of plants to visitors, including perennials, shrubs and trees, alpines, bulbs and exotic plants.
All of the nursery owners are experts in the plants that they grow, and some are National Collection holders. They are all always happy to offer all the advice needed for visitors to select and grow the right plants for their gardens. Also, all the nurseries attending are happy to bring pre-ordered plants to the Fair, so don't forget to visit their websites to see what they can offer!
Entrance to the Fair is £6 and includes entrance to the Palace & 14 acres of RHS partner Gardens.
