Sunday 9th February 3.00pm
Wells Cathedral School musician Thomas Nettle directs the St Andrew’s Chamber Orchestra in its second-ever concert, this time putting the spotlight onto Malcolm Arnold, England’s neglected genius. The programme features his incredible fifth symphony, alongside a newly-arranged suite from his incidental music for The Tempest.
Also on the programme is Façade by William Walton, Arnold’s long-time friend and occasional collaborator, featuring Steve Perring who will recite Edith Sitwell’s poems.
The seating for this concert is unreserved. Tickets: £10. Free for 25s and under.
